Description

The Reedsport School District joins our entire community in mourning the sudden loss of Scotty Lewis, owner of Lewis Transportation. Scotty has been a cornerstone of our community and a true friend to Reedsport Schools for more than three decades.
Since founding Lewis Transportation in 1994, Scotty has dedicated his life to safely transporting our students to and from school, athletic events, and field trips; always ensuring safety for the students in his care. His company has been a trusted partner to our district, and his commitment to our students, staff, and families has touched countless lives.
Scotty’s impact went far beyond the buses and routes that connected our schools. He gave generously of his time, energy, and heart to this community. Whether it was supporting local athletics, lending a hand to a neighbor, or quietly helping when someone was in need, Scotty led with kindness, integrity, and an unwavering love for Reedsport.
His sudden passing leaves a tremendous void in our district, our community, and in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
As we grieve this loss together, we want to recognize the deep impact Scotty’s passing has had on so many within our schools and community. We encourage everyone to hold space for one another, to offer comfort and care, and to lean on each other in the days ahead. Our thoughts are with all who are feeling this loss most deeply.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the Lewis family and the incredible team at Lewis Transportation. We are so grateful for the care, dedication, and love Scotty poured into our schools and our community. His legacy will continue to ride with every student who steps onto a Lewis Transportation bus.
Thank you, Scotty, for your decades of service, your generosity, and your steadfast heart for Reedsport. You will never be forgotten. ❤️🖤
