Inspiring Visit to the Philomath Rotary Club!
District Governor Chris Waugh enjoyed a fantastic visit with the Philomath Rotary Club on December 2nd. This club is a true testament to growth and revitalization!
Just two years ago, they were struggling, but with strong District support (thank you, DGE Bruce Allen!), they have completely reinvigorated themselves. Under the passionate leadership of President Fred Shaub, with President-Elect Robert Hulshof-Schmidt already in place, the club is poised for a bright future. Impressively, half of their members have joined within the last three years, bringing wonderful new energy.
The club has even earned some dedicated Rotary fans! A special shout-out to Erin Haynes of the Corvallis Club, a regular visitor whom Philomath recognized with an award for his constant support and encouragement. Erin often shares how Rotarians inspire him—well, the feeling is mutual!
DG Waugh also stayed for their Board meeting, describing the board as a "dream team of powerful local community pillars" who accomplished an incredible amount in just over 30 minutes. And get ready—they’re making a big statement for peace by ordering 5 new peace poles!
What an impressive and inspiring club. The future of Rotary in Philomath is very bright! #Rotary #Rotary5110 #ServiceAboveSelf #PeacePoles #ClubGrowth
