Description

The U.S. Justice Department said the resolution that had been funding its work on the police reform settlement with Portland expired Sept. 30, and its lawyers are “prohibited from working, even on a voluntary basis.

A federal judge Wednesday denied the U.S. Department of Justice’s request to delay its deadlines to comment on the progress of Portland police reforms because of “lapsed” federal appropriations.
