A judge is trying to determine how much damage August Dean Gordon caused to the electronic card reader outside the entry gate to Portland's U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building on June 29, 2025, before sentencing him.

A judge on Friday delayed the sentencing of a man arrested last summer outside Portland’s immigration enforcement building, ordering a prosecutor to produce video or other evidence supporting the government’s account and to vet an allegation that officers took a “trophy photo” of him.
