Description
This wonderful local family has been going through an incredibly difficult and trying time, and now is a beautiful opportunity for our community to show them just how much they are loved and supported.
If you’re wondering where to eat tomorrow, please consider stopping by La Flor De Mexico. Enjoy a meal, leave a kind word, and support a family who could truly use our community standing behind them right now.
Sometimes supporting local means so much more than simply buying a meal. ❤️
Let’s show up for them.
P L E A S E S H A R E ❤️
Friends, family, and our incredible community,
With full hearts, deep gratitude, and a great deal of emotion, our family wants to share that our family restaurant will reopen this Tuesday, October 6th.
The past several days have been some of the most difficult our family has ever experienced. Losing Carlos has left an emptiness that words cannot adequately describe. As we continue to grieve, process, and try to understand life without him, we have also been overwhelmed by something else which is the incredible love, generosity, and support that has surrounded our family.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Thank you to everyone who has called, messaged, stopped by, shared a memory of Carlos, brought food, offered a prayer, donated, checked on our family, or simply reminded us that we are not walking through this alone.
We have felt your love.
We have felt your prayers.
We have felt the strength of our community carrying our family during a time when we have needed it more than we can express.
Every donation received will help with Carlos's funeral and memorial expenses, his outstanding financial obligations, and, most importantly, we will be establishing a college savings plan for his son so that a piece of the love and generosity shown to our family can continue through Carlos's son well into the future.
That means more to our family than we could ever put into words.
Our restaurant has always been more than a place to eat. It is part of our family's story. It is a place where generations of our family have worked, laughed, struggled, celebrated, built relationships, and shared our culture and our food with the community.
And now, as we reopen, we do so with Carlos very much in our hearts.
We know that walking back through those doors will bring a lot of emotions. There will be moments of sadness. There will be memories. There will be tears. But there will also be love, laughter, stories, and the opportunity to continue moving forward together.
We invite you to come see us Tuesday. Come have a meal. Come say hello. Come check on our family. Come share a memory of Carlos. Even if you don't know what to say, just being there means something to us.
To everyone who has stood beside our family, thank you for giving us grace. Thank you for giving us strength. Thank you for giving us time. And thank you for reminding us what community truly means.
We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.
With love, gratitude, and a heart full of appreciation,
The Lira Family
