This fenced lot on Molalla Avenue, across from Safeway in Oregon City, is part of the site that a developer wants to turn into apartments, retail and a fast-food restaurant.

A Texas-based developer’s plans to bring retail, apartments and a Chick-fil-A to Oregon City are in jeopardy after the city determined — a year into the planning process — that a portion of the site sitting within a landslide hazard zone must remain largely undisturbed.

All Work will be limited to the intersection of South 8th Street and Anderson Avenue. South 8th Street will be closed to through-traffic with business access available from Central Avenue only. Anderson Avenue will be reduced to one lane at the intersection of South 8th Street. Minor delays should be expected. Work will start after 8:00 am and end no later than 5:30 pm. Repairs are expected to be completed by Friday, April 24. Please exercise caution when traveling through the work area. Should you have questions, please contact Public Works at (541) 269 – 1181, extension 3565.

Emergency Exterior Building Repair South Broadway St The sidewalk on the eastern side of S. Broadway St. between Anderson Ave and Curtis Ave is closed due to emergency building repair. Work will begin on April 20th with the sidewalk opening as soon as exterior building repairs have been complete. The City of Coos Bay requests that citizens use caution when passing through the construction zone. Should you have any questions or want more information, please contact the Public Works at (541) 269-8918.
