On Saturday, February 21, Hillsboro Police officers and staff participated in the 2026 Law Enforcement Polar Plunge benefiting Special Olympics Oregon, the largest annual fundraiser supporting athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities across our state. We are proud to share that ChillsboroPD was the top law enforcement fundraising team this year, raising more than $4,000. With additional Super Plunge fundraising efforts, Hillsboro Police raised nearly $9,000 in total. Funds raised help ensure athletes can train and compete year-round at no cost to them or their families. Our support goes beyond one event. Throughout the year, our officers volunteer, hand out medals, participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run, and cheer on athletes across Oregon. If you would like to get involved, consider creating your own Polar Plunge team or signing up to volunteer.
