The Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation host the annual Willamette Falls Lamprey Celebration at Clackamette Park in Oregon City on Thursday, June, 26, 2025.

As they approached the basin below Willamette Falls on Thursday morning, the spray from the waterfall soaking them, the small group of Yakama Nation fishers veered their small boat slightly and clambered out onto a series of large, half-submerged mossy rocks.
