This free program provides community members with opportunities to learn about everyday operations and the many programs within the Sheriff's Office. Join us for 11-weeks of interactive presentations, tours, and hands-on activities designed to give you an intimate look at the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. Classes will be held in Newport from 6pm - 8pm on Tuesdays from September 9, 2025 through November 18, 2025. Members that complete our Citizen Academy are also welcome to apply for our Community Advisory Group. To apply for the 2025 Citizen Academy you must: ✅ Submit an application no later than Monday, August 18, 2025 (https://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/ap?ap=102479192) ✅ Successfully pass a Sheriff’s Office background check ✅ Be at least 16 years or older Space is limited but we'd love to have you there!
