Teen members of the Multnomah County Search and Rescue team pose for a photo together. They spend months training before going out to help hurt hikers, skiers and others when emergency calls come in.

Sadie Walsh was just 16 years old and had been working as a volunteer for the Multnomah County Search and Rescue team for four years when she got the call.
