Description

The Central Library in downtown Portland has been the center of ongoing debate in the community regarding safety and security concerns.

After months of debate and research, Multnomah County leaders have decided to forgo a major security upgrade at the flagship library in downtown Portland that they were considering in response to a fatal shooting near the library building and other violence last year.
