Samuel Rodrigo Melo Santos, 27, falsely claimed he was a U.S. citizen when he bought guns from IV Guns and Ammo in Cave Junction. ATF agents said he bought 91 guns for a total of $56,448 between May 2024 and July 2025, according to a federal prosecutor.

A Mexican citizen who told investigators he bought dozens of guns in Oregon and then resold them to anyone in “the streets,” on Thursday pleaded guilty in federal court to making a false statement to acquire a gun and being an alien in possession of a gun.
