Description

The lawsuit alleges Mako's police handler, Jared Hansen, failed to control the dog, allowing it to bite a fellow officer, Yamhill County Sheriff's Sgt. Travis High, who was moving in to help arrest a burglary suspect in 2024.

A Yamhill County sheriff’s sergeant who was attacked by a McMinnville police dog as he was trying to arrest a suspect in 2024 is suing the police dog handler, alleging the city officer was negligent and also falsified his training records.
