Description

The measles virus was detected in routine wastewater testing in Marion County in early October, according to the Oregon Health Authority. Pictured is an undated from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows the skin of a patient after three days with measles rash.

Traces of the measles virus were found in a wastewater sample collected earlier this month from a Marion County treatment facility, state health officials announced Friday.
