Bandon, Ore. - On April 17th 2026, a homeowner from Upper Fourmile Lane called 911 to report he was following a vehicle that had just broken into his shop and stolen several items. A Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy responded along with Bandon Police and located the suspect vehicle at a residence on Hwy 101 near Hoffer Lane.  
  
Kaine M. Horner was arrested and charged with Burglary II and Theft I. Mr. Horner stole a bear hide, a mounted Bobcat, and other items from inside the shop. The victim recovered the Bear hide, which fell out of the back of the suspect vehicle.  
  
The Bobcat mount, which fell out of the suspect vehicle at the intersection of Hwy 101 and Upper Fourmile, was not recovered. It is believed this was picked up by a passing motorist. If you happen to recover this item, please contact Sgt. Slater at 541-396-7806 so it can be returned to the owner.  
  
Mr. Horner was transported to the Coos County Jail on the charges of Burglary II and Theft I.
