The CBPD is proud to introduce our Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST) instructor, Sergeant Chris Rule.  Sgt. Rule's extensive experience and dedication to impaired driving enforcement make him an invaluable asset to our department.  
   
Sergeant Chris Rule began his law enforcement career in 2009 as a reserve deputy for the Benton County Sheriff's Office. His commitment to public safety and his exemplary performance led to his joining the CBPD in 2020. Sgt. Rule is a certified Drug Recognition Expert and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Western Oregon University.  
   
Throughout his career, Sgt. Rule has developed a passion for impaired driving enforcement. His dedication to this cause is evident in his nearly 300 DUII arrests. His expertise and commitment to excellence ensure that our officers receive the highest quality training in Standard Field Sobriety Tests.  
   
Sgt. Rule's comprehensive knowledge and specialized training equip our officers with the skills they need to effectively identify and manage impaired drivers, enhancing the safety of our community.
