Description

U.S. District Judge Karin J. Immergut was nominated to the federal bench by President Donald Trump in 2018. She previously served as a Multnomah County Circuit Judge for nine years after six years as Oregon's U.S. attorney, appointed then by former President George W. Bush.

The federal judge who has temporarily halted President Trump’s attempts to put National Guard troops on Portland streets is known for being fair and apolitical, say multiple people who worked with her over the years in Oregon.
