Marshfield’s boys’ basketball team advanced to the OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union 4A State Championships’ Final Four with a 64-41 win over Phoenix at Forest Grove High School Thursday night. With the win the Pirates (22-3) advance to play Mazama (15-11) at 8:15 p.m. Friday night. The Vikings advanced with a 58-52 win over Scappoose. Marshfield senior Steel Carpenter led the Pirates with 25-points, and Luke Jackson scored 19. The Marshfield-Mazama game can be heard on the OSAA Radio Network (Matt Jarvis), KMHS FM 105.1 (Garrett King & Chris Green), or on NFHS video network (Eric Goss), but there is a fee for NFHS.
