The number of unmarried young men in the United States has climbed sharply over the past 25 years, and researchers say the trend may point to deeper social and economic challenges facing a generation of men. According to data highlighted by the Institute for Family Studies, there were about 30.4 million unmarried men ages 20 to 39 in 2025, compared with 20.7 million in 2000. Meanwhile, the number of married men in the same age group declined over that period, The New York Post reported.
