Description

Health officials say most people infected with the Zika virus either experience no symptoms at all or develop only mild illness, a factor that has made the mosquito-borne disease difficult to track during outbreaks. The virus is spread primarily through infected Aedes mosquitoes, though it can also be transmitted through sexual contact and from a pregnant person to a developing fetus.
