The potential federal award comes as the Sheriff’s Office announced in the fall that it did not have the funding to continue its Close Street Supervision Program.

Members of Oregon’s congressional delegation are celebrating a potential funding boost for a Multnomah County program that monitors people accused of crimes who are released in the community pending trial.
