NBPL release - The North Bend Public Library invites Teens ages 13-18 to discover the fun of improvisational theater during a free Teen Improv Class on Tuesday, August 4 at 4:00 PM. Led by Desireé Glenn Gaoiran of Acting Up, this interactive one-hour workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of improv through games, activities, and creative exercises. Whether participants are experienced performers or have never stepped on a stage before, this class is designed to be welcoming and accessible to everyone. NBPL release - The North Bend Public Library is thrilled to host Brave in the Attempt: Celebrating 50 years of Special Olympics Oregon, a traveling exhibit from the Oregon Historical Society, from August 3-28, 2026. Through photographs, stories, and historical materials, the exhibit explores the remarkable impact of Special Olympics Oregon on athletes, families, and communities across the state over the past five decades. Visitors will learn how the organization has empowered individuals with intellectual disabilities through sports, education, leadership opportunities, and health programs.
