Wednesday’s television broadcast begins at 4 p.m. (PT) on ESPN. UO release - EUGENE, Ore. – The 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships begin Wednesday at Hayward Field and will feature day one of the men's program. The Men of Oregon will have six national entries in action including scoring chances for Safin Wills and Kobe Lawrence in the long jump and shot put, respectively. The Ducks will also be in action on the track with semifinal heats of the 800 and 1500 meters, and the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Along with the ESPN broadcast which begins at 4 p.m. PT with the start of running events, there will be focused ESPN+ links for all field and combined events. NEWS: Men of Oregon add to the list of NCAA qualifiers: 4:21 p.m., 1500 Meters – semifinal, Simeon Birnbaum (heat 2) ESPN; 4:38 p.m., Steeplechase – semifinal Benjamin Balazs (heat 2), ESPN; 5:40 p.m.; Long Jump – FINAL, Safin Wills (flight 1), ESPN+; 5:58 p.m. , 800 Meters – semifinal, Matthew Erickson, Koitatoi Kidali (heat one), ESPN; 6:10 p.m.; Shot Put – FINAL, Kobe Lawrence (flight 2), ESPN+. Including the two events featuring Ducks, six men's champions will be crowned Wednesday with finals at 10,000 meters, pole vault, javelin and hammer. Tickets for the NCAA Championships at Hayward Field are currently on sale. Up Next: Day two of the 2025 NCAA Championships marks the beginning of the women's competition. Thursday's schedule will include UO preliminary runs in the 4x100 relay, 1500 meters and 100 hurdles, and scoring opportunities for Diana Cherotich (10,000m) and Emily Fitzsimmons (pole vault).
