A Brooklyn man accused of destroying one of New York City’s oldest churches is facing federal arson charges after investigators linked him to a June fire that devastated the historic South Bushwick Reformed Church, according to court records and federal authorities. The church, which dates to the 1850s, was a designated New York City landmark and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, according to The U.S. Department of Justice.
