WASHINGTON — Hiring across the United States slowed significantly in June, adding fewer jobs than economists had expected and signaling that employers are becoming more cautious as the economy faces ongoing uncertainty. The latest figures from the Labor Department showed nonfarm payrolls increased by 57,000 jobs during the month, well below most forecasts and slower than May’s revised total.
