NEW K9 JOINS CBPD THANKS TO COMMUNITY DONATIONS The Coos Bay Police Department (CBPD) recently welcomed Arco, a 16-month-old Belgian Malinois patrol K9, thanks to generous donations from members of our community. Arco joins CBPD after being purchased from Alabama Canine and spending an initial period with a trainer who specializes in police K9 training. Arco and his partner, Officer Ryan Scoville, will be attending a 6-week OPCA handler course together to complete their training and achieve their patrol team certification.
