Description
Calls for emergency response in the blocks surrounding the city of Portland’s new Moore Street Shelter tripled in the nine months after it opened compared to the same nine months in 2024. A story Friday about that increase relied on records the city provided that excluded 911 calls that did not result in an emergency service response and included some incidents that emergency responders initiated absent a 911 call. City officials clarified the definition of terms in their records after the story was published.
