City of North Bend release - ODOT is upgrading pedestrian and bicycle facilities along ORE 540 (Cape Arago Hwy) / U.S. 101 between Broadway Ave and Fir St in North Bend. Work includes: New ADA curb ramps; Two pedestrian crossings with flashing beacons near Ash St and Spruce St; Sidewalk infill and bike lanes; Timeline: Construction underway, with completion scheduled by December. What to expect: Intermittent daytime shoulder closures through the work zone; Night time lane closures 7:00 p.m.–9:00 a.m., Sunday night–Friday morning; Minor delays, changing traffic control, and construction signage; When sidewalks are closed, alternate pedestrian routes will be provided.
