Description

A new study from OHSU and the Portland VA that analyzed millions of health records found that people with untreated obstructive sleep apnea were significantly more likely to develop Parkinson’s over time. But early use of CPAP therapy, the standard therapy for sleep apnea, sharply reduced that risk.

A common sleep disorder that leaves millions of Americans exhausted may also be quietly increasing their chances of developing Parkinson’s disease — unless they treat it.
