Description

This club meets at the beautiful Mace Building in the Jackson County Expo, with its special storage room for the club supplies. You know, first impressions are everything – well, I was immediately greeted by Joe Arnesen with his big smile. Past President Jim Early, President Marty Daniels, and PE Brian Barr invited me to stay after for their Board and Foundation meetings. PE and Membership Chair, Crystal Rogers, is working on a new member attraction brochure. The meeting was fun and productive.
The club has ENERGY! They eagerly shared with me their pet projects, including their Pig Pickin’ Auction, a Kid’s Shopping Spree, and support of the Central Point School District.
It was President Marty Daniels’ birthday, so the members sang Happy Birthday – as loud and as bad as they could! Marty also had a plan to make long-time member Mike McClain an honorary member. The designation came with the usual certificate, and also two bottles of Mike’s favorite beverage – along with etched glasses to commemorate the honor. AG Ian Foster visited the club to celebrate the event, too.
