Description

A woman and her boyfriend have been sentenced to life in prison for killing her autistic teenage son, who also suffered prolonged abuse prior to his death, the Oregon Department of Justice said Friday.

The couple, 30-year-old Nathan Cullins and 40-year-old Amanda Edwards, lived together in Lakeview with Edwards’ son, Thomas Strong. In November 2024, after Edwards withdrew her son from high school, the Oregon Department of Human Services began receiving reports alleging abuse and neglect in the household.
