Oregon governor orders schools to stop cutting classroom time

Description

Gov. Tina Kotek issued an executive order to protect and restore student instructional time in Oregon schools as some districts propose or implement cuts to classroom hours. Executive Order 26-06 directs the Oregon Department of Education to request that the State Board of Education immediately prioritize policies preventing further reductions in student instructional time.
