Description

A one-year moratorium on new data center incentives would apply only to new data centers in places like Hillsboro (above) — not in rural parts of Oregon where the data centers, and tax breaks, are bigger.

A last-minute amendment Monday to an economic development bill in Salem made a big change: Instead of expanding data centers’ eligibility for Oregon tax breaks, the bill narrowed data centers’ eligibility for the incentives.
