Oregon's historic casket manufacturing plant added to national register

Description

The Oregon Casket Company Building, at 403 N.W. Fifth Ave. in downtown Portland, was built in 1897, designed by prominent architecture firm Whidden & Lewis.

A five-story building that was once the center of Oregon’s thriving casket industry is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
