Oregon State softball ended the regular season with a win and two losses to visiting Santa Clara at Kelly Field, Corvallis. The Beavers won the opener Friday, 2-1, but lost the next two, Friday’s second game, 4-1, and Saturday, 15-4 (5). OSU ends the regular season 7-8 in the WCC and 24-23 overall.

At Des Moines, Iowa, Oregon State baseball got two wins & a tie with the Hawkeyes. On Friday, The Beavers won 9-6; Saturday, 5-1; but on Sunday, it was a 6-6 tie. OSU (37-12-1) hosts Portland on Tuesday, May 13, 5:35 p.m., televised on CW/KOIN.com.

OSU release - CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State track and field athletes claimed a total of 18 medals including eight first-place finishes, as the Beavers hosted the Pac-12 Open Saturday at the Whyte Track and Field Center. Oregon State got off to a strong start in the field events, as Katie Gelston claimed first in the discus with a mark of 48.81m/160-01. Grace Proudfoot won the high jump with a leap of 1.68m/5-6.00, and Markayla Billings won the hammer throw at a distance of 55.81m/185-01. Delaney Bahn set a program record in the long jump, claiming first at 6.19m/20-3.75. Isabelle Esler took first in the javelin for the second-straight week at Louie-Ville, coming up with a throw of 52.43/172-00. Oregon State claimed the top-six spots in the 1500m, with Jillian Brown (4:20.36), Ainsley Herron (4:21.85) and Ruby Broadbent (4:22.46) taking the top-three places. Brown's time was good for fifth on OSU's all-time list. The Beaver squad of Dede Norman, Jada Hurley, Mersayis Shedd and Bahn clocked the fifth-best 4x100m relay time in program history at 46.20. Hurley stopped the clock in 11.72 in the 100m, taking first with the second-fastest time program history. She followed that up by winning the 200m with a mark of 24.08. Jenna O'Beirne placed third in the 800 with a time of 2:15.96. The Beavers will wrap up the regular season next Sunday when they head to the Lewis & Clark Last Chance in Portland, Ore.
