OSU release - CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State outfielder Canon Reeder has been selected in the 18th round, 533rd overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the Major League Baseball Draft on Monday. Reeder played in 55 games a season ago, starting 53, and batted .293 with 11 doubles, one triple and eight home runs. He also drew 27 walks and stole four bases. The Bend, Ore., native has played in 107 games for the Beavers over three seasons. The outfielder is batting .281 with 18 doubles, two triples, eight home runs and 53 runs batted in. He also has 12 career stolen bases. He is the 10th Beaver taken by the Pirates all-time and the first since Garret Forrester in 2023.
