Description
Today we showcase beautiful DORY. Dory is a bit of a sad story. She came to SCHS in August 2025, from a high kill shelter in California as a 6 month old pup, so she鈥檚 literally had to grow up in a shelter setting. She celebrated her first Birthday with us a few months ago and is now a year & 2 months old, and eager for her new home! Dory is looking for someone who will have patience with her, while she figures life out, outside the concrete walls of a kennel. She鈥檚 a tri colored cattle dog mix, who鈥檚 shy & hesitant at first, but rebounds into an energetic, loving girl, once she feels a little more comfortable. She鈥檚 dog friendly, ok with bigger kids, spayed, microchipped, and UTD on all her vaccines. She鈥檚 a little iffy with cats though. She has some separation anxiety that she will need help working through, since she鈥檚 only known the shelter life, and has never learned how to be alone. But she鈥檚 young and eager to please, and will make someone an amazing pet for the person willing to take some time to help her navigate into a home setting. She鈥檚 been on some outings, and has been well behaved, and her favorite part was her car ride! She had the most blissful car ride ever, with the wind in her face, just taking it all in! And Thank you KCIW radio for partnering with SCHS to promote our Pet Of The Week!
