Description

For the first time in its history, Portland Community College staff, after months of protracted negotiations over salary and health care benefits, went on strike Wednesday, March 11. The college said campuses would operate remotely through the end of the strike.

Portland Community College has reached a tentative agreement with striking classified employees, the union and college leadership said Wednesday night. The college is still bargaining with striking faculty, it said in a news release.
