Runners compete at the 2025 NCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Hayward Field in Eugene.

EUGENE—On the final lap of Friday’s 5,000-meter race at the NCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships, Portland’s Matt Strangio held a small lead in front of a tight pack.
