A Portland man stabbed his neighbor believing she was trying to steal his cat, police said in court documents.

Portland police arrested Scott Thomsen, 47, Sunday after responding to multiple 911 calls and finding a woman bleeding from several stab wounds in the 5000 block of Southeast Duke Street.
