Description

A student at Woodlawn Elementary School in Northeast Portland raises her hand during circle time. The school district and union leaders have reached a tentative agreement that would allow for a one year contract for educators covering the 2026-2027 school year. It still needs to be ratified by union and school board members.

Portland Public Schools teachers would get what amounts to a 1% cost-of-living adjustment for the 2026-2027 school year, under the terms of an unusual one-year contract agreement that still needs to be ratified by both union and school board members.
