The OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union 4A State Baseball Playoffs got underway Tuesday, May 27. Top-ranked Marist Catholic downed visiting North Marion/Gervais, 5-4 at Eugene. No. 4 seed Newport beat visiting Gladstone, 4-0. Bottom bracket, Scappoose eliminated Stayton, 4-1. Tillamook fell at Philomath, 2-0. North Bend lost at Pendleton/Nixyaawii, 8-0. No. 2 seed Junction City beat The Dalles/Dufur, 8-3. Quarter-finals are set for Friday, May 30.

Prep BB 3A Playoffs

Brookings-Harbor fell in the first round of the 3A OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union prep baseball at Yamhill-Carlton, 8-2 Tuesday. Round 2 starts today, May 28 with top-ranked Blanchet Catholic, Salem, hosting Yamhill-Carlton, 4:30 p.m. Banks will play at No. 4 Taft, 5 p.m. Lakeview at No. 2 Warrenton, 4 p.m. Creswell at No. 2 Cascade Christian, Medford, 5 p.m.

Myrtle Pt./Pacific hosts Lowell in the OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union 2A/1A baseball playoffs Wednesday, May 28., 5 p.m. Country Christian/North Clackamas is at No. 4 seed Knappa, 4 p.m. Crosspoint Christian is at No. 6 seed Reedsport, 5 p.m.
