North Bend senior Owen Bascom is the 2025 OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union 4A State Golf Champion. Bascom shot a two-under par (142) to win the State Title by three-strokes over Molalla senior Massimo Cereghino at the Tokatee Golf Course, up the McKenzie River from Springfield near the community of McKenzie. Bascom was the runner-up in 2023, and third last year. He is North Bend’s first individual State Golf Champion. Seaside won the 4A team title (640), with North Bend third (662), behind second-place Marist Catholic (647). Bandon’s boys repeated as the 3A/2A/1A State Champions and the Tigers sophomore Sevren Quinn (139) was second by one-stroke to medalist Davis Hartwell (138), Crosspoint Christian. Bandon senior Peyton Simonds and Brookings-Harbor senior Lucas Vanderlip tied for third-place (143). Bandon shot a 12-over 580 to win the title, over Valley Catholic (629) & Oregon Episcopal (630). The Tigers total broke the 3A/2A/1A record previously held by St. Mary’s (14-over 590) in 2014. North Bend’s girls finished fourth while shooting a school record 730. Jordyn Prince was led the Bulldogs in 13th.
