OSAA 4A VB Rankings Freeze

The Oregon Schools Activities Association (OSAA) rankings for 4A prep volleyball teams will freeze on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 10 p.m. Once the rankings are frozen, playoff matches can be set for the upcoming State Tournaments. The 4A and 3A classifications State Tournaments will again be in the Bay Area, Nov. 7-8 at both North Bend (3A) and Marshfield (4A). Tickets can be purchased online at www.osaa.org.

Prep volleyball schedules for Tuesday, Oct. 28: 4A – North Coast – Cowapa Lg.: Seaside at Scappoose, 6:30 p.m. Non-league: Clatskanie at Astoria, 6:30 p.m.

OSAA VB Playoffs

The Final Eight are not known just yet for the OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union 3A Volleyball Tournament, Nov. 7th & 8th at North Bend HS. However, playoff seeding is set to determine just that. On Wednesday, Oct. 29, Round 1 has No. 17 North Valley (13-6) at No. 16 Portland Adventist (11-7); No. 19 Corbett (12-11) at No. 14 St. Mary’s (13-7); No. 20 Warrenton (12-9) at No. 13 Creswell (14-10); and, No. 18 Pleasant Hill (12-12) at No. 15 Banks (17-5). The winners advance to the Second Round, the “Round of 16”, Nov. 1st, with the winners there advancing to the State Tournament at NBHS. Valley Catholic (23-4), Beaverton, is seeded No. 1 and Westside Christian (22-2), Tigard, is No. 2. No. 8 seed Douglas (14-4) will host No. 9 Catlin Gabel (14-9), Portland. No. 10 Salem Academy (17-7) will play at No. 7 Coquille (14-6).
