Description

Activists fly a banner during the Sunday Parkways event on June 28, 2026 against diverting Portland Clean Energy Fund money towards hiring police officers or paying for Moda Center renovations.

Proponents of a failed ballot initiative that would have directed dollars from the city’s clean energy fund to hire more police have sued the city, county and state over what they described as an “arbitrary” signature-validation process.
