The protest scene about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, at the ICE building in South Portland.

As the threat of a federal military crackdown continues to loom over Portland, an estimated 200 demonstrators converged Sunday at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in South Portland to decry the mobilization of troops.
