Several earthquakes were recorded near the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Friday and early Saturday. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 3.2-magnitude quake was located right at the junction, west to northwest of Petrolia, CA, Saturday morning. The other two were on the outer fault line, a 2.8-magntide and 2.9-magnitude, both west of Ferndale, CA, near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. On Sunday, a 3.3-magnitude quake was recorded southwest of Arcata, CA in Humboldt Co.
