A 2.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded at the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast, Friday, Nov. 7. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. An on-land earthquake was recorded early Sunday morning, west to southwest of Coquille. According to the USGS, the 2.7-magnitude quake was at a depth 13.8 km (8.6 miles). There were also two quakes off the South Coast within the Cascadia Subduction Zone, Saturday, both near the outer fault line. A 3.2-magnitude west of Bandon, followed by a second 3.2 in the same area. Both at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles).
