Thank you for publishing economist Joe Cortright’s op-ed, (“ODOT’s crisis is a spending problem, not a revenue problem,” Aug. 3). Cortright offers a realistic path for the Oregon Legislature in its upcoming special session on transportation; using it, the Legislature could salvage something of value from the wreckage of the transportation funding package which failed during the regular session.
