I was disappointed to see that The Oregonian/OregonLive Editorial Board did not endorse Susheela Jayapal for U.S. Congressional District 3, (“Editorial endorsement May 2024: Elect Maxine Dexter in Democratic primary for 3rd Congressional District,” April 17). Jayapal is the best match for voters in District 3 - voters like me who care deeply about having a progressive voice in that seat. There are important policies that matter, such as Jayapal’s call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and her position supporting Medicare for All.
